We inhabit a newness that is not ready for us.
Jordan Deal invites you to
a ritual of performance, film, poetry, chanting and food that attempts to connect the tissues of the universe to the highway of our vertebrae.

Blackness as transcendental joy, Collectivity as transmutation

A guerilla performance that took place at the Bartram's Garden Community Boathouse, the site acted as ceremonial ground for community to shape form and explore the acts of collective grief, celebration, and communion as resistance. Jordan Deal allowed for the shaping of these grounds to provide the framework for the audience to immerse in death as rebirth, collecting dreaming and incubation, and mythology. In performance, two of the artist’s films were screened, Primordial Supper and dead sea dreamland. Food was provided by the artist and offerings from the audience was asked to be brought. The communion began at sundown and ended at midnight, following the light into the abyss.
